Who would have thought Sago could be so easy
This is the first time I tried Sago in the Tatung Rice Cooker. It was so easy. I did start with 1 Cup of hot water and put 1/2 cup of sago in it and mixed. I added 4 cups of milk (room temperature) and mixed it. In the outer bowl I put 1/2 cup of water. At about 10 mins I mixed it thoroughly. At this point the Tatung was boiling away. If you have young children please do not let them sit next you during this next phase as you don't want the hot boiling water from the Tatung to jump out on them. This is where I stirred it really well and about 7 mins after that I put the custard mix (dissolved in cold milk earlier) and 4 teaspoons of sugar and stirred it again. I let it bubble away and served. It was a hit! Seconds were definitely asked for!
